Our garden is first and foremost an organic, community, vegetable garden.
The implication of being organic is that we must be vigilant in pest and disease control because we don't use chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.
The implication of being community is that we must be kind to one another, accept that we don't all garden in the same way, and allow everyone to find their own way to contribute to community tasks.
The implication of being a vegetable garden is that we must focus the efforts in our rows on vegetables and beneficial plants that nurture the soil and/or help reduce pests and diseases.
